Tue, 24 March 2009 We're on the radio! Internationally! Yes, Canada counts. You may
be familiar with the show The Sonic Society, which airs on CKDU in
Halifax, Nova Scotia, and also on a podcast which you can get anywhere.
They feature all kinds of currently produced audio drama and asked me
to send them some episodes. They've played the first four episodes of
The Unspeakable and the Inhuman tonight! You should go to their website (http://sonicsociety.org/) and see what glowing praise the show's host, Jack J. Ward, heaped onto the show. Oh, and go to iTunes and download the episode and probably subscribe. If you like new, original audio drama, you really should be listening to The Sonic Society. Mon, 2 February 2009 The Unspeakable and the Inhuman Episode 7 will be slightly delayed due to, well, to be honest, poor planning. This is the first and hopefully the last time that this will occur. And when I say slight delay, I mean slight. Check back tomorrow or Wednesday and the episode should be up and all should be back to normal. This post is primarily for those diligent few who've been keeping track that we normally post new episodes on the first Monday of the month. Rest assured, we're still here and you shall hear a new episode very soon. Category: The Unspeakable and the Inhuman -- posted at: 9:58 PM Comments[0] |
Sun, 18 January 2009 That's right. Canada's premier horror magazine, Rue Morgue, gave
mention to audio drama's only Lovecraftian soap-opera, The Unspeakable
and the Inhuman. It's right there in issue 86 (the current Jan/Feb issue) on page 10, featured in a single paragraph in the "Roadkill from the Info Highway" section. They mentioned our myspace page, and not our main website or podcast feed, but the review (tiny though it was) was basically positive. If you haven't checked out our MySpace page, please do so at www.myspace.com/theunspeakableandtheinhuman and become our friend. So, yay, we have press. It makes me feel official. Tue, 5 August 2008 WHAT IS THIS?A serial audio-drama, soap opera inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? In 2006, Sam Stewart had an idea for a series of short films - a soap opera inspired by the works of that master of the weird tale, H. P. Lovecraft. At that time Derek Fetters had begun to develop a company that would produce serial audio drama for podcast. They decided to team up, turning the soap into an audio serial. While working on the series bible, they realized the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival was a month away. With such a perfect test audience soon to be assembled in Portland, OR they scrambled to create what became an extended pilot of the series – which they named The Unspeakable and the Inhuman. WHAT'S NEXT? We shall start our serial this month (August '08). Posting a new episode once a month. More news next week Category: The Unspeakable and the Inhuman -- posted at: 9:46 PM Comments[0] |
